The Character Ed lesson from Thursday, September 28, focused on adolescent friendships and relational aggression. This term describes the kind of bullying that drives most adults nuts! Rumor spreading, social isolation, and horrible instant messages, are just some of the behaviors that fall into this category. I encourage you to take a look at the script and talk to your children about how to better deal with conflict in a relationship. The student interviews made it perfectly clear to me that while they may not be familiar with the term, students (especially girls!) are, MOST DEFINITELY, familiar with the actions, and the devastating consequences that follow. Check it out, and talk to your kids!
